Empowering Divested Black Women
Our mission is to create a nurturing environment enabling divested black women to thrive emotionally, mentally and physically through striving for holistic wellness. We do this by the following:
1. Encouraging healing from the hidden wounds of our subcultural trauma that leads to alienation, isolation, and degradation which depletes our collective power and energy.
2. By investing in mental health treatment and educational endeavors enabling members to come into her own despite the pressures to conform to unreasonable demands dictated by the dominant culture and black subculture.
3. By believing in the power of true community and fostering true sisterhood with black women who do not fit into anyone’s mold.
4. Encouraging acknowledgement that we are women first, while manifesting self acceptance and self love. Endeavor to see and encourage the beauty in each other.
